- Review every finding before copying or replacing text.
Email replies and form fields
Click inside the editor, right-click, and choose Scan this field with Airlock. To check only part of a thread or page, highlight it and choose Scan selection with Airlock. Airlock opens the side panel and scans the chosen content.
Pro whole-page scan
Select Scan entire page to inspect visible page content and relevant form fields. Results identify their source. Click a result to scroll to and temporarily highlight that location. Browser-internal pages, hidden content, and inaccessible cross-origin frames are not scanned.
Create a safe version
Free users can review a redacted preview, but cannot copy it or replace page fields.
Pro: Redact
Replaces a value with its category, such as [REDACTED:API-KEY].
Pro: Pseudonymize
Uses consistent-looking placeholders within the current result, such as [EMAIL_1].
Pro: Mask
Preserves a short prefix and suffix, such as al••••••om.
Every finding is protected by default. Uncheck Protect when a reviewed value is acceptable for the intended team. On page scans, copy the combined safe report or apply safe values directly to affected form fields.
Protected terms
Open Settings and add one confidential company, customer, product, or project term per line. Matching is case-insensitive and stays local unless your organization distributes a managed policy pack.
Use local Ollama
Enable Ollama in Settings, choose a locally installed model, and keep the URL on localhost. Deterministic results appear first. Ollama runs afterward as a second opinion and times out without blocking the scan.
Route audit events
Enable webhooks only with an endpoint you trust. Add organization user and device identifiers when required. Test the receiving system’s authentication, retention, and access controls before deployment.
Important limitations
Airlock is a guardrail, not a guarantee. Detectors can produce false positives and false negatives. Users must review results, and organizations should combine Airlock with appropriate access control, DLP, secret rotation, and incident-response practices.
